Addiction Services Central Ontario (ASCO) is a Naloxone Distribution Agency partnered with York Region Public Health and Simcoe Muskoka Public Health.

What is Naloxone?

Naloxone can reverse the signs of an opioid overdose.

Who can get a free Naloxone kit?

You are eligible for a free kit from ASYR if you are:

  • currently using opioids;
  • a past opioid user who is at risk of returning to opioid use;
  • a family member, friend or other person in a position to assist a person at risk of overdose from opioids.

Naloxone may be accessed by any member of the community. It is not a requirement to be a client of the agency.

  • A Harm Reduction approach that allows us to focus on minimizing the risks and harms associated with using substances
  • Naloxone training
  • Naloxone education
  • Naloxone kits and refills
  • Counselling options and referrals

Where we help:

This program is offered at our main office in Aurora and through our Community Opioid Treatment Clinics.
